But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. The refrigerator is expensive, so I expected better.

Aside from that blip the fridge is a great option. It boasts a spacious freezer compartment, which is quite uncommon in counter-depth French door fridges, and it holds a fair amount of frozen food when in comparison to similar models.

The LG LRFLC2706S is a great counter-depth refrigerator that packs plenty of storage into an extremely compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge features the standard French door design, and two rows of shelving with spill-capture and a set of crisper drawers. The top shelf to the right can be folded in order to create more space for taller items. There's also a full-width deli drawer and an internal water dispenser.

One of the best aspects of this refrigerator is that the ice maker is inside the freezer, making it easy to move ice into the fridge to be used when it is required. The freezer is designed with thoughtful elements, for instance, sliding drawers to help you better organize the placement of items. It has a large bin to store frozen food items, and a separate one for ice.

Smart InstaView panel is another awesome feature of the refrigerator. You can manage the temperature, lighting, and other aspects of your fridge using your smartphone. It's a great method of monitoring and managing your refrigerator, especially when you're away from home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat however it doesn't improve the efficiency of the fridge. In fact, it took longer to defrost and chill food in this fridge than some of the others we tried. This is probably due to its bigger capacity.

Another issue with this refrigerator is its doors. They have sunken handles on the front, which allow smaller people to pull them open from the bottom, but they're still difficult for taller people to steer closed without slamming them. It would have been better if they had a front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent option for those who want to combine the look of a French door refrigerator with a more efficient design. Its capacity is superior to counter-depth models and is able to cool evenly. It's also a bit less than the best counter-depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which helps make it a popular choice.
