French Door Refrigerator With Ice Maker Review

French-door refrigerators blend design and function. They have elegant double doors that open to reveal a large fridge on top, and a freezer drawer below. These refrigerators stand out due to their special features, such as through-the-door dispensers as well as higher-end ice makers.

Given that this fridge costs a premium, I expect higher quality.

Other than that the fridge is a fantastic choice. It comes with a huge freezer compartment, which is quite uncommon in counter-depth kenwood french door fridge freezer door refrigerators. Furthermore, it can hold a decent amount of frozen food compared to similar models.

Inside the fridge, you'll find 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment is 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is roughly on the same as an French door refrigerator that costs this much. It has a decent sized freezer in the left side. But it's not the biggest one I've seen.

You can alter the shelves in each compartment to create a customized storage arrangement for whatever you have to store. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive. Its LED lighting is a nice touch and the storage bins come with the third shelf, which folds up beneath itself to make it possible to store large items. The drawers have temperature controls that allow you to set them to Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. The drawers are easy to open and shut however I found the plastic's textured coatings a bit hard on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator has all the features you would expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is available for iOS and Android devices and allows you to control your refrigerator from anywhere around the world. It also offers numerous options for customizing. It also alerts you when a door is left open, when the refrigerator or freezer needs defrosting and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be nice if the GE PYE22PYNFS came with Precise Fill it's an option in other GE refrigerators that allows you to set the number of cups of water you'd like to disperse at once. It does have an indicator on the display of the fridge to display how much water have remaining, but that's not as effective as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth american french style fridge freezer Door Refrigerator

Created to appear like a seamless part of your kitchen, Bosch's French-door refrigerator is an eye-catching piece. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a veggie compartment that keeps fruits and vegetables fresher for longer and two compressors to preserve food. The ice maker is one of the most efficient we've ever tested and produces a pyramid-shaped ice with a low use of water. This refrigerator is the ideal option for households with a single member or kitchenettes that want a sleek design and top of the line food preservation.

This refrigerator was the highest-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators test for a few reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained constant at just above 0° Fahrenheit and never fluctuated more than a fraction - this is crucial to prevent freezer burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well, reaching the desired initial set temperature within a matter of hours and keeping that temperature steady over the course of our testing.

Bosch is known for its top-of-the-line appliances which is why it's no surprise that this counter depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance that has the option of connecting to your home Wi-Fi as well as Bosch's Home Connect platform. This app lets you monitor and manage your fridge remotely using your tablet or smartphone. The fridge is a bit expensive, but it offers top-quality features and functions for the price.

While the fridge is a fantastic piece of equipment, it's important to know the limitations. It is possible to be creative with tall objects because the fridge has a small shelf space. The upper right shelf can be folded down to give tall items more space. There's also a full-width drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser.

This refrigerator has a freezer with an ice maker, making it easy to transfer the frozen ice as needed. The freezer also comes with thoughtful design features, such as sliding drawers that help you organize your items. It also comes with a large bin that can hold plenty of frozen food and an ice storage bin.

Another cool feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. You can manage the temperature, lighting, and other aspects of your fridge using your smartphone. It's an easy way to monitor your refrigerator and control it, especially when you're away from home.

The Smart InstaView feature is neat, but it doesn't necessarily enhance the performance of the fridge. In fact it took longer to defrost and chill food in this refrigerator than some of the others we test. This is likely due to its bigger capacity.

The doors are a different issue with this fridge. The handles with a sunken design allow smaller people to open them from the bottom. However taller people will struggle to close them without slamming. It would have been much better to have front-mounted handles.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent choice for those looking to blend the look of a french door fridge with non plumbed ice & water dispenser door refrigerator with a more efficient design. It has a capacity that is above average for counter-depth models and also cools evenly. It's also a little cheaper than the top counter-depth refrigerators that have an ice maker, which can make it a popular choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for an French door fridge that doesn't cost a fortune, this Frigidaire is a good choice. It's a simple fridge that may not be as eye-catching as some of its competitors however it has enough features to make a good choice. Its main feature is the adjustable temperature drawer that helps keep food items like veggies and meat fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge water dispenser, as well as an excellent ice maker that operates quickly.

The "Chill Drawer", which is located over the two crisper bins, is a nice feature. This drawer lets you use a portion of the refrigerator's cooling power into the area so it can be used to store food items that require extra attention. This feature can be adjusted using an outside slider that is located inside the drawer. You can also adjust the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I have found that the general settings work better than the specific ones.

During my tests, I found that the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly consistent in different parts of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the middle, top and bottom of the fridge didn't differ significantly from 38 degrees. This is a solid performance but isn't quite at the top of our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also connect this fridge to a smart thermometer to get more precise readings of your fridge's internal temperature.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is constructed of stainless steel with a grey body with a "smudge-proof" finish. It does a great job of repelling fingerprints and streaks, even compared to glossy stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tried.
