iRobot Combo Review

Combo is the first mop from iRobot and vacuum robot. It's also one of the most stylish. The top of the machine is brushed aluminum, and the iRobot Logo are more sophisticated than the blatant designs of competitors.

You use the irobot for pets Home app to set up and guide your robot. The app tracks usage data and maps of your home that include obstacles and furniture. Maps and images are only shared with you if you have opted-in.

It's a mop

The Combo Irobot, a highly intelligent mopping robot, takes all the intelligence of the excellent Roomba J7+ and adds a reservoir of water onboard and mopping pads and a robotic arm that can lift and lower the pad. It can complete a lot of work in 111 minutes before running out of juice, and then automatically returning to its base station to recharge.

The model comes with the iRobot home app, so you can start and stop cleaning runs. The robot is also stylish with a matte black material that does not display dust or fingerprints, and a brushed aluminium top piece with small iRobot logo.

It is a fantastic tool of vacuuming, with no issues traversing over large area rugs and transition strips between flooring surfaces. It's also able to pick up fine dust that other robotic vacuums fail to pick up. It's not the best buy roomba vacuum at mowing. It's not able to remove dried milk stains unless you send it four or five times.

irobot near me's dedicated Braava jet M6 mopping robot cleaner, which is usually available in a bundle along with the J7 Plus for less than the cost of the combo Combo is a better job at this and other tasks that are difficult. It can even suck up ketchup and wine that has spilled but I'd suggest using it in the presence of liquid that has a high sugar content.

It's an air vacuum

It's one of the more attractive robot vacuums. The top piece is smooth and doesn't show dirt or fingerprints as easily as some of its competitors. The tiny water tank and dustbin of this vacuum are easy to open, but they're not the most spacious. The Combo j7+ also has the same smarts you'd expect from iRobot with features like map and obstacle avoidance maps that work effectively and swiftly. The mopping arm is what makes this model stand out from the rest of its competitors. The mop pad is kept on top of the robot vacuum. When it detects a surface that needs mopping the pad is moved beneath and behind the robotic vacuum. This is a significant improvement from other robot vacuums that require you to manually remove the mop pad for hard floors and carpets, or even turn the whole unit off to mop.

It's an electric charging station

Place your Combo irobot cleaner on the charging station and then align the metal contacts on the base. The charging station is reliable and is easy to put in. During my testing it took just a few minutes for the robot to begin charging and then make a sound when it was completed. Once the Combo robot is fully charged you can begin an exploration run in the app to help the robot better understand your home. You can also mark specific objects such as cords for lamps, as permanent avoidances within the app. You can also connect your robot to Alexa or Google Assistant, so you can use voice commands to guide it around the house.

It's a smart device

Combo irobots make use of acoustic as well as onboard sensors to learn about the kind of floor they're navigating and the objects in your home. It also blends this information with maps of your space and image data from the robot's onboard camera to develop a custom cleaning plan for each room. This makes it smart enough to keep your sofa, lamp cords and other items you want to keep intact. As with all connected devices, there are concerns about the security of these data. iRobot however, states that it will not sell any customer information and will not take any images without the consent of customers.
