UPVC Replacement Door Handles

As time passes, the handles on your doors will wear down and will require replacement. When doing this it is essential that the new handles are in line with the exact dimensions of the handle that was previously used.

It is recommended to do this while the lock is in place, but in the event that this is not feasible, you can take it off and remove it to take measurements. It is crucial to ensure that there is no extension of the cylinder beyond the handle or escutcheon. This could make it susceptible to lock snapping attacks.

The design of most newer cylinders comes with anti-drilling as well as bump resistance features. They are designed to minimize attacks by forcing cylinders to turn in a new direction. This can to deflect an attack and keep your door safe.

Some cylinders are designed to resist snapping. The spring cassettes were made to be used with a sprung multipoint locks. They will not fit unsprung handles and you'll have to cut a hole into your backplate in order for them to fit. They are fitted with a square cut out which allows for an 8mm spindle to be used and they are supplied individually.
